Changing DNS Records (ICANN whois DNS record)

This article applies to changing the ICANN whois DNS record, also known as the DNS record. This is used to direct ALL internet related traffic to the target host: website, email, ftp, everything concerning the domain name will be sent to the the target DNS listed here first, before being routed anywhere else.

If you need your password, make sure that your owner contact email is valid at:
ICANN Whois
Otherwise you cannot receive the password reset email (Hostica can ONLY send the password reset email to the owner contact listed in the ICANN Whois record)

To view and change DNS name servers, you will need to log into the domain manager. This feature is NOT available in the hsphere hosting control panel. If you do not have the login information, please contact help@hostica.com with the domain name you need to access.
